TSW fair is getting bigger every year!

On January 10 and 11, 2018 at Ptak Warsaw Center the 8th edition of the Horticulture and Vegetable Trade Fair - TSW 2018. The event was record-breaking in every aspect, which once again ensured visitors and exhibitors that TSW is the largest industry event in Poland for fruit and vegetable producers.

328 exhibitors from Poland and abroad presented their offer on 18,000 m² of exhibition space. It is worth mentioning that this year’s companies were from such countries as: USA, Cameroon, Italy, Uzbekistan, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and France and as many as 62 new companies joined the group of exhibitors comparing to the previous year.

During two days, 15 503 people visited the fair (entry to the fair was registered). Many guests came from abroad: Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Austria.

During the ceremonial opening of TSW 2018, prof. Szczepan A. Pieniążek Prizes were awarded for the fifth time. The jury of the competition honoured the most innovative products beneficial for gardening, the environment and society, submitted by exhibitors. In this year's competition, the jury decided to award the following companies: Jagoda JPS for a self-propelled harvester for berry fruit OSKAR 4 WD, Thermolux Chłodnictwo Klimatyzacja Marek Jędrzejczak for a cascade refrigeration system propane / carbon dioxide (R290 / R744) CRU type and Plantalux Sp. z o.o. for the specialist COB LED lighting system with adjustable intensity of photon emission together with an intelligent IT system for plant production management.

As in every year, industry conferences were a very important part of TSW, where Polish and foreign specialists gave nearly 60 lectures. Outstanding scientists and practitioners shared their knowledge. On the first day took place: Orchard Economic Forum, 5th Strawberry Conference and a conference on the cultivation of field vegetables. Lectures on potato production were also given that day. Lectures on the potential of geothermal energy in greenhouse heating were delivered for those interested. On Thursday the following conferences were held: fruit-growing, the subject of growing and protecting vegetables under cover, and the conference entitled "Perspective species in gardening". In total, over 2,600 people listened to lectures at the fair. Almost 1900 people benefited from the speakers' knowledge by watching direct broadcasts of selected lectures via the Internet.
